Summary. The purpose of the paper is to explore aerospace as a metaphor for posthumanism and analyze its significance in the context of transforming human concepts under the influence of technological progress. Posthumanism, as a philosophical direction, questions the shift in human identity in the face of increasing technological impact, with aerospace serving as a symbol of these changes. The methodology of the research is based on an interdisciplinary approach, combining philosophical analysis of posthumanist concepts with the study of contemporary space technologies and scientific discoveries. Cultural and ethical approaches are also utilized to examine aerospace as a metaphor that connects both the physical and metaphysical aspects of humanity's transformation. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in the original interpretation of the aerospace realm as a philosophical metaphor that symbolizes the departure from anthropocentric views on humanity. The first part of the text highlights the historical and philosophical aspects of the emergence of the term «posthumanism». The second part focuses on aerospace space, which embodies not only the scientific and technological ambitions of humanity but also the philosophical aspirations to transform the very essence of humanity and transcend traditional notions of life on Earth. The third part emphasizes that in the cosmic context, the end of anthropocentrism is not only a philosophical challenge but also a practical necessity. This rethinking can help us better understand our role in the universe and prepare for a future where humans will be just one of many subjects in the complex network of life, technologies, and cosmic objects. The paper demonstrates that aerospace not only embodies technological progress but also acts as a metaphor for the evolution of human nature, where space achievements play a significant role in rethinking the limits of human potential. The conclusions summarize that, in posthumanist philosophy, aerospace serves as a multifaceted metaphor that opens new perspectives for understanding changes in human nature. The exploration of space, the development of bioengineering, artificial intelligence, and cyborgization symbolize the desire to overcome physical and biological limitations. This also raises a number of ethical questions related to the responsibility for the consequences of technological progress and the interaction between humans and the cosmic environment.
