THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL RESEARCH PRINCIPLES OF IVAN FRANKO՚S SOCIAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL VIEWS IN THE CONTEXT OF DEVELOPMENT TENDENCIES OF UKRAINIAN COMMUNITY

Abstract. This article substantuates theoretical and methodo-logical research principles of Ivan Franko՚s social and philosophical views in the context of the leading development tendencies of the Ukrainian community in the past and at present; analyzes the state of the researched issues in social philosophy and defines the methodo-logical principles, sources and logical-analytical cognitive instruments of its solution. The research sources include: Ivan Franko՚s socio-philosophical works on the Ukrainian community development ten-dencies, studied through the text unity of the works and their context – the Ukrainian realities and situations of personal and social life in the past and at present (moreover, the concept of the text is connected with the writer-philosopher and reader personalities as the subjects of phi-losophical and literary work and its perception/interpretation, and the context – with the object of this creative work/perception/inter-pretation); the works of philosophy historians and social philosophers, integral humanities about Ivan Franko՚s philosophical and literary heritage and the problems of historical, civilizational development of the Ukrainian community in it; socio-philosophical works on the life regularity issues of the Ukrainian society in the past and at present. The methodological instruments of the work as a complex of general scientific and philosophical research methods, whose unity allows us to realize several interrelated methodological levels of the problem solution, were found out. It was established that the Ukrainian com-munity development tendencies in the Franko period and at present, as well as Ivan Franko՚s socio-philosophical views on the Ukrainian community development in the past and in the future, were charac-terized by the main objective of nation and state formation, which, despite all the differences in time-spatial, socio-cultural characteris-tics of the above-mentioned periods in the modifications of Ukraine՚s modern civilizational choice, still remains topical. The article contains 14 references. The further research prospect is the study of the con-cept of a nation in Ivan Franko՚s socio-philosophical heritage.
