POST-SECULAR PROJECT OF THE MODERN TIMES

Abstract. In the article the main attention is paid to the fea-tures of the post-secular situation in the postmodern worldview. To-day there is a tendency for a massive increase of interest in religious discourse. This interest, acquiring forms of the mass, loses its sacred exclusive status. We have the opportunity to observe how, throughout the twentieth century, they are gradually being squeezed out of the public space and devaluating those absolute values and concepts (God, Christian love, compassion, goodness, truth, etc.) the Church has been managed successfully recently. The Church itself loses its, previously inviolable, authority. The erosion of the limits of sacred and profane is increasing more and more. The primary religious integrity is lost. On the world stage, new non-traditional religious movements are gaining in popularity, attracting innovative methods of their work with their «believers» and building on the principle of the commercial corporation. The crisis of religiousness experienced by modern society is a characteristic consequence of changing one ideological paradigm to another. If the philosophical «God is dead» is characterized by the secular state of culture as the situation of the Modern, then the last third of the XXth to the beginning of the XXIth is marked by the situation of post-secularism as a new religious consciousness. The article considers the peculiarities of the formation of post-secularism as a new world situation in the life of Western European societies, which brought with it a qualitatively different attitude and a view on the socio-cultural and religious processes that take place today. The peculiarities of postmodern religious consciousness are analyzed, where post-secular tendencies are able to fully manifest themselves.
