RELIGIOUS POLICY OF THE INSTITUTIONS OF PARLIAMENTARISM IN UKRAINE AND THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND: A PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

Summary. The purpose of the research is a comparative analysis of the religious policy of the institutions of parliamentarism of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland on the regulation of public relations in the religious sphere. Methodology. To analyze the structural component institutions of parliamentarism of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland, to determine their essential characteristics and functionality, a structural-functional method was used, which was reflected in the process of comparing constitutional and legal norms as fundamental in the regulation of public relations in the religious sphere. Scientific novelty. For the first time, the legislative acts of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Diet, and the Senate, which provide control over the observance of rights in the sphere of freedom of conscience and religion and their orientation towards resolving inter-confessional confrontations through dialogue, are analyzed. Conclusions. A comparative analysis of the institutions of parliamentarism in the Republic of Poland and Ukraine established that the religious policy of legislative authorities regulates relations with society and performs a law-making function, which is oriented to the creation of laws and the representation of the interests of various social groups in the state. The principles, methods and mechanisms of formation and implementation of state-church and inter-confessional relations have been established. The impact of the church on the social and political life of Poland, which played an important role in the formation of the state and nation and the preservation of national identity, was noted. Attention is focused on the content and orientation of the state religious policy, which determines the nature of state-church and interfaith relations, the religious situation in the country, and the level of religious freedom. It is proved that the religious policy of the state depends to a large extent on the laws that were adopted by the institutions of parliamentarism in accordance with religious, political and social demands.
