Summary. The purpose of the article is to highlight the process of “anthropo(techno)genesis” and the conception of “marvelous clouds”; to reveal the potential of media-anthropological strategy and to identify the level of anthropological reflection in the digital age. Methodological principles. Productive is a method of historical and philosophical analysis that allowed to comprehend the essence of the process of “anthropo(techno)genesis” in the philosophical conceptions of A. Leroi-Gourhan and B. Stiegler, as well as the project of “marvelous clouds” represented by J.D. Peters. During the scientific work with texts general methodological basis were acquisition of historical and critical and interdisciplinary approach, that envisage the analysis of original sources and the implementation of theoretical principles of socio-humanitarian disciplines for complex research. In addition, the specific methods of the “media archaeology” approach were applied, that enabled the research formation considering the study of the interaction of technology, art, and science with the aim to rethink the concept of media as part of complex technical and cultural systems. Scientific novelty confirms that for the first time in Ukrainian philosophical tradition the analysis of the conception of “marvelous clouds” presented by media historian and social theorist John Durham Peters is examined. The process of establishing the concept of “anthropo(techno)genesis” in the philosophy of A. Leroi-Gourhan and B. Stiegler is traced as the opportunity to figure out the new forms of the “human” when communicating with technological tools. Conclusions. The core ideas of two media-anthropological strategies were illustrated, that allowed to evaluate the level of anthropological reflection. With the general trajectory to define a human, the special research focus is demonstrated, in which the process of “technologization” of man and “humanization” of technology is unfolding. Media are explored as integral parts of the environment, as an infrastructure that shapes human existence. An interdisciplinary approach is asserted, that explicate the logic of the coexistence of human and non-human entities and provides expanding the horizons of conventional research approaches and creation new vectors for philosophical reflection.
