Abstract

Summary. The aim of the article is to carry out a sociophilosophical analysis of the military subculture. Views on the features of the military subculture of the development of society, as well as a number of important functions: substantive, educational, motivational, selection, communication, stabilization, protection (or optimization). Segments of military culture are given. With the help of the "subcultural palette" the social identification of people is carried out, in the structure of the "cultural heritage" of the military community its main components are highlighted: corporate attributes, symbols, rituals. The point of view on the army life and the changes that take place in the conditions of professionalization of the armed forces, that the subculture is an important factor in the systematization and identification of military life, is studied. In analyzing the problems associated with corporate attributes, symbols and rituals, a number of issues directly related to the second important component of the subculture– the value orientations of members of the military organization– were considered in parallel. This is quite natural, because as already mentioned, all components of the army's "cultural repertoire" are in interaction, this is what people consider fundamental to their lives, which forms the purpose and motives of their activities. In general, in the structure of values of military service it is accepted to allocate some of their groups or directions. The latter can be general for all categories of military, as well as separate, special, for conscripts, for contract soldiers, for officers, and so on. A brief analysis of military etiquette as a stereotype of behavior, a form of behavior of people in uniform, which is mostly based on traditions (customs), principles of morality and statutory requirements. It helps to understand the unusualness, prestige of the military profession, to understand the special characteristics of its representatives. Peculiarities of national character and militarycorporate values of the officer are studied.
